vivo X Fold+ is coming on September 26
vivo launched the X Fold foldable smartphone in April, and today the company announced it will unveil the Plus model next week - on September 26. The launch event will be held in China and begin at 7PM local time.
vivo says the "+" in the X Fold+ means "strong will evolve in a stronger way." It's unclear if vivo is hinting at durability improvements with the Plus model or if it's a reference to something else.
vivo also shared an image revealing the X Fold Plus's design. It looks similar to the vivo X Fold but will now come in red color as well. The regular model came in black and blue colors.
vivo hasn't detailed the X Fold Plus' specs sheet yet, but we know the X Fold+ will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and pack a 4,730 mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging support. AnTuTu revealed the X Fold+ will have 12GB RAM, 512GB storage, and a 120Hz screen.
Aside from a new chip, bigger battery, faster wired charging, and new color, the vivo X Fold+ is expected to be identical to the X Fold. We may hear more about it from vivo in the days leading to the September 26 event.
