vivo X Fold+ to have a bigger battery and be offered in a new red colorway
vivo"s upcoming X Fold+, initially thought to be named X Fold S, has been in the rumors for a few weeks now, and we"re clearly getting ever closer to its release date. We already knew that, compared to the original X Fold, it would have the upgraded Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, as well as support for 80W fast wired charging, and now some more details about the yet-unannounced device have surfaced courtesy of a Weibo post by vivo brand Vice President Jia Jingdong.
Jia outed the fact that the X Fold+ will come in a new red colorway (the X Fold has only been offered in black and blue). We"re also told the new phone would sport a 4,730 mAh battery, up from 4,600 mAh on its predecessor. The teaser image above was also posted, to give you a very slight idea about the red X Fold+ and what it will look like. Unfortunately, the image"s quality isn"t amazing as you can see, but hopefully the official announcement isn"t far behind.
Aside from the SoC, the battery capacity, the increased wired charging, and the new color, the vivo X Fold+ is widely expected to be identical to the X Fold, sporting the same 8.03-inch internal display with 120 Hz refresh rate, the same 6.53-inch outer display with 120 Hz refresh rate, 12GB of RAM, 256/512GB of storage, 50 MP main camera with OIS, 12 MP 2x zoom snapper, 8 MP periscope 5x zoom cam, 48 MP ultrawide, and 16 MP selfie shooter.
