This is the OnePlus Nord CE5 with its iPhone 16-like camera island
The OnePlus Nord CE5 has been in the rumor mill for a few days now, with its battery capacity being revealed first, followed by a full spec leak yesterday.
The next step is obviously for us to see it, and that"s exactly what"s happened today: the first render depicting the device has been leaked. It only shows the back, as you can see, and it"s hard not to instantly figure out where OnePlus got its inspiration for the camera island design - this screams iPhone 16.

That"s an interesting choice, and this camera island is slightly reminiscent of that of the also upcoming OnePlus 13T, which has the two cameras aligned in an oval-shaped contraption as well, only that one is part of a bigger squircle-shaped island. So it seems like in 2025 the brand won"t be focusing on a 100% cohesive design language for its smartphones, instead just fitting each one with its own variation on the same general theme, for better or worse.
The Nord CE5 is said to launch in India in May. It has a flat frame and a flat back panel. Previous rumors said it would pack a 6.7-inch flat OLED screen with 120 Hz refresh rate, the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 SoC, and a 7,100 mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging.
On the rear will be a 50 MP main camera using Sony"s Lytia LYT-600 sensor, and an 8 MP ultrawide using Sony"s IMX355 sensor. For selfies there will be a 16 MP shooter. The phone will allegedly have 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a hybrid SIM slot, and a single speaker.
