Pre-orders for the purple iPhone 12 and 12 mini, as well as the AirTags are now live
The Purple colorways of the iPhone 12 and 12 mini are going up on pre-order around the world, as are the much-awaited AirTags. The first units of both the smartphones and the tags will be available a week from now on April 30.
It looks like Apple is coordinating the launch globally, the start is set for 12 noon UTC time, which is early in the morning for the US and Canada, the afternoon for the UK and Europe or the evening for Australia and New Zealand.
The purple iPhone 12/12 mini cost the same as the other four colors, namely USD 750/650, GBP 800/700, EUR 900/800, INR 70,000/53,000. Of course, if you have an old device to trade in you can drop those prices.
As for the AirTags, those are USD 30 for one or USD 100 for a pack of four. Though you may want to pick up a few accessories (the naked tags have no way to be attached to anything), which will bump up the cost.
iPhone 12/12 mini cases and wallets are getting new colors too
Head over to the apple.com if you want to pick up a purple iPhone or an AirTag. By the way, Apple also unveiled new cases for the iPhone 12/12 mini and a new MagSafe wallet, so you can still enjoy a fresh new color even if you already have a phone.
