Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic prices leak

2021-09-26

The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 series will feature a Classic variant, which will have a rotating bezel (as seen in these renders) and a higher price tag – at least according to the leaked pricing info for this and the vanilla models.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 (renders here, no bezel to be seen) will come in two sizes, 40 mm and 44 mm, the smaller one will cost €350-370, while the larger watch will be €380-400. These two will be available in Black, Silver, Green and Gold.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic will also offer two sizes to choose from, 42 mm and 46 mm. The former will go for €470-500, the latter for €500-530. The Classic duo will be available in Black and Silver only.

It looks like there will be a €30 premium if you want the larger model (which comes with a larger screen and larger battery). For comparison, the 41 mm Galaxy Watch launched at €430, while the 45 mm one was €460 (again with a €30 gap). There is no Classic version of this watch, but the LTE-enabled model did cost €50 more at launch.

Looking another year back, the bezel-less Galaxy Watch Active2 40 mm was €250 initially and the 44 mm model was €270. However, there’s no info about the price of the Galaxy Watch Active4 (if it even exists – the vanilla model may take its place).

But unless it is the cheapest of the three, the barrier to entry into the land of Wear OS-based One UI Watch will be higher than it was with the Tizen-based models.

Anyway, it’s not just watches, Samsung is expected to reveal the Galaxy Buds2. A few days ago we heard that they will cost $150-170, now we have rumored pricing for Europe – €180-200. That’s pricier than the Buds Live were at launch (€170) and what the Buds Pro cost now (€200). That’s a surprise since the Buds 2 will not have Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), so they should cost less than the Pros.
