Samsung The Premiere 5 projector launches, can create giant 100" touchscreens

Originally announced at CES in January, The Premiere 5 projector is now launching in South Korea with a price of KRW 1.99 million (that converts to $1,380).
Samsung The Premiere 5 ultra-short throw projector
It is an ultra-short throw projector that can create a 100” image at a distance of 43cm. The projector can be oriented to put the image on the wall for media consumption and work or on the floor or table.

Using an infrared laser module and camera, the projector has touch functionality (this can turn your table into a giant touchscreen). It supports screen mirroring from a smartphone or tablet – just imagine using DeX on a 100” display.
Using The Premiere 5 as a giant touchscreen
The Premiere 5 has sensors that measure ambient lighting and automatically adjust contrast, color and brightness with the Vision Booster technology to deliver better image quality. Auto Keystone correction is available as well.
The projector also supports SmartThings, so you can control your smart home devices from it (here the touch functionality comes in handy). Since this runs Tizen OS, you also have access to smart features like Gaming Hub, which supports multiple game streaming services (Xbox, GeForce Now, Luna and more).

The Premiere 5 projects a 1080p image using a triple laser system (the light source is rated for 20,000 hours of operation). HDR10+ is supported. There are two micro HDMI ports on board (one with eARC), plus one USB-C. Wireless connectivity is done over Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2. There are onboard stereo speakers (10W) with Dolby Atmos.
