OpenAI announces SearchGPT: its new AI search engine
SearchGPT is OpenAI’s long-awaited answer to Google Search. It’s an AI search engine powered by the GPT-4 model family with real-time summarized information from the web with links to relevant sources. The service is currently in its prototype testing phase and is limited to 10,000 test users at launch. OpenAI is currently working with third-party partners to build its database including news agencies like The Wall Street Journal and The Associated Press. OpenAI also confirmed it plans to integrate SearchGPT into ChatGPT down the line.
