vivo Y77e announced with Dimensity 810 and 5,000 mAh battery
vivo launched the Y77 in China last month with the Dimensity 930 SoC, and today the company announced its 'e' variant, powered by the Dimensity 810 chip.
The vivo Y77e runs Android 12-based OriginOS Ocean and comes in three memory configurations - 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB. It also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 1TB.
The smartphone is built around a 6.58" FullHD+ LCD with a 60Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. And fueling the entire package is a 5,000 mAh battery charged through a USB-C port at up to 18W.
For photography, you get an 8MP front-facing camera and a 13MP primary camera on the rear, joined by a 2MP macro unit. The rest of the vivo Y77e's highlights include 5G connectivity, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
If all this sounds familiar to you, that's because the vivo Y77e is a version of the Y77 available in Malaysia with slightly different specs. The Malaysian Y77 features a 16MP selfie shooter and sports a 50MP primary camera on the back. It also runs Funtouch OS 12 instead of OriginOS Ocean.
Circling back to the vivo Y77e, the smartphone has three color options and its 8GB/128GB model is priced at CNY1,699 ($250/â¬245) and 8GB/256GB variant at CNY1,799 ($265/â¬260) in China. vivo hasn't revealed the price of the 6GB/128GB version, and we also don't have any information about the phone's availability.
