Vivo Y73s 5G goes official in China
The Y73s 5G (V2031A) is now up on vivoâs Chinese website as the latest member of the companyâs value midrange family of devices.
The 161 x 74.04 x 7.73 mm, 171.3-gram phone features a 6.44-inch, 2400 x 1080-pixel (20:9) AMOLED display, with a teardrop or u-shaped selfie notch. While the overall thickness of the bezels surrounding said panel might suggest otherwise, it actually seems to be a nice unit, at least on paper, complete with HDR10 support.
Inside the vivo Y73s 5G we find a 4,100 mAh battery, complete with 18W cast charging support, via a Type-C port. Speaking of ports, there is also a 3.5mm one to enjoy. At the heart of the experience, we have the Dimensity 720 chipset - an extremely compelling 7nm value offer that manages to incorporate Sub-6 5G connectivity at prices even undercutting the value Dimensity 800. It is the first in MediaTekâs 700 line and is apparently already starting to make some disruptive moves on the midrange 5G scene. In the vivo Y73s 5G the Dimensity 720 is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
Judging by the speedy chips of choice, as well as the trendy in-display fingerprint reader, HDR10 support, we already mentioned and a few other standout bits, like aptX HD, vivo isnât cutting too many corners with the Y73s 5G. In the camera department, we have a 48MP, f/2.0 main, 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide and 2MP, f/2.4 depth trio on the back, plus a 16MP snapper on the front. Again, not too shabby. For software, the Y73s 5Gr runs on an Android 10 ROM, with Funtouch OS 10.5 on top, out of the box.
Color options for the vivo Y73s 5G include Silver Moon and Black Mirror, for now and the official price is set at CNY 1,998, or roughly $299.
