vivo X Fold+ photos published by MIIT, still no word on an official unveiling
vivo still hasnât picked a date on which to reveal the revamped X Fold+ phone, but you can now take a peek at it since Chinaâs MIIT published images of the new foldable flagship.
And when we say ânewâ we mean new on the inside, since the exterior looks the same. The photos show the black colorway, which has the same decorative band across the vivo logo on the faux leather exterior.
As for whatâs happening inside, the vivo X Fold+ will upgrade to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset (up from the original 8 Gen 1) while the 4,600mAh battery is expected to gain support 80W fast charging (up from 66W).
There should be no changes to the displays and cameras compared to the original vivo X Fold. This means a 6.53â cover display (21:9, FHD+, 120Hz, AMOLED) and 8.03â main display (1,916 x 2,160px, 120Hz, LTPO AMOLED).
As for the Zeiss-branded cameras, they should be the same quartet of a 50MP main module (1/1.57â sensor, 1.0µm, OIS), 48MP ultra wide (114°), 12MP portrait cam (2x) and 8MP periscope (5x, OIS). Also, there are two selfie cameras, one on the outside and one on the inside.
It seems that the regulatory hurdles have been cleared, so now we just have to wait for vivo to make the X Fold+ official.
