vivo confirms X100 Ultra will remain exclusive to China
The vivo X100 Ultra was announced yesterday with some of the most impressive hardware around. The flagship came with a 1-inch type main camera with a Sony LYT-900 sensor and a 200 MP periscope shooter with the 1/1.4" ISOCELL HP9 sensor behind.
The phone is priced at CNY6,499 ($900), but unfotunately company reps confirmed to us it will remain available only in Mainland China. As earlier speculations suggested, vivo will not launch the phone in overseas markets.
The last time the Chinese phone maker launched its top device globally was the vivo X80 Pro back in 2022. Hopefully with the Nokia patent issues resolved we'll see a return later this year or in 2025 at least.
Open sales in China start on May 28. vivo offers the X100 Ultra in Titanium, White, and Grey colors. Pricing starts at CNY 6,499 ($898) for the 12/256GB trim and goes up to CNY 7,999($1,105) for the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage version.
