vivo to launch a smaller-screen mid-range device next year

vivo did something different for its flagship smartphone line this year, releasing the X200 Pro mini as a smaller option alongside the X200 and X200 Pro. And it seems to be selling quite well.

The company now plans to launch a smaller-screen mid-range smartphone in 2025, according to a new rumor from Digital Chat Station. The post on Weibo has since been deleted which generally means he spilled the beans a bit too early.

In it he claims the device will be powered by a Dimensity 9 series chipset, but doesn"t name it. This makes us think it will be the Dimensity 9300 at best, which makes sense for what is going to be, let"s not forget, a mid-ranger.

The main camera will be 50 MP, and the device will also have a telephoto camera. The screen could actually be identical to that fitted onto the X200 Pro mini with its 6.31" size, 1216x2640 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 4,500-nit peak brightness.

Finally, the mid-ranger in question will be outfitted with a silicon battery that is "quite large", so we assume it will best the X200 Pro mini"s 5,700 mAh capacity.
