The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra display resolves the graininess issues, improves color rendering

On paper, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra display has not been upgraded compared to the S24 Ultra, save for the tougher Armor 2 glass, but that won’t affect image quality. And yet it seems that the display on the 2025 model is better after all since it fixes a weird issue with the S24 Ultra panel.

If you recall (or maybe you have personally experienced), at very low brightness settings, the S24 Ultra display would appear grainy. That issue is no longer present on the Galaxy S25 Ultra display, as can be seen in this photo shared by Ice Universe:

That’s not all, Ice reports that color rendering has been improved noticeably as well. Here are two comparison images – the gradients appear much smoother on the new model.

We have a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in for review and we will be taking a close look at its display – and will be testing everything else too, of course, so stay tuned for a detailed report.
