The Amazfit Bip 5 with 1.91" display, 10-day battery life goes on sale in India this Thursday
A couple of weeks ago Amazfit unveiled the Bip 5 â an affordable smartwatch with a large 1.91â rectangular display and 10-day battery life. This watch is now up on Amazon India and will be available starting on August 31 (Thursday).
The price is ?7,500 and the watch comes with a selection of silicone wrist straps: Soft Black, Cream White and Pastel Pink (the front of the watch body is always black, the sides match the band). Amazon is the exclusive seller of the Bip 5.
Letâs have a quick look at the specs. The 1.91â LCD has 320 x 380px resolution and is covered with tempered glass with anti-fingerprint coating. The watch runs Zepp OS 2.0, so it can handle app notifications and controls the phoneâs music player and camera. The OS lets you install mini apps and even simple games too.
The microphone and loudspeaker on board can be used for Bluetooth phone calling. They are also used by the built-in Amazon Alexa voice assistant.
The watch has a BioTracker 3 biometric sensor for 24-hour heart rate, blood-oxygen tracking, plus stress and sleep tracking. For exercise, there is a built-in receiver for GPS, Galileo, GLONASS and QZSS.
The loudspeaker has a role to play here too â it can read out the key metrics as you exercise (so you donât have to keep glancing at your watch). There is also a Virtual Pacer, so the watch will nudge you to speed up or slow down to hit your desired pace. Your progress can be shared on Strava, adidas Running, komoot and Relieve (in addition to the usual Apple Health and Google Fit integration).
The watch is IP68 dust and water resistant. The Bip 5 measures 45.94 x 38.09 x 11.2mm and weighs 26g without the strap.
The built-in 300mAh battery should last up to 10 days of average or up to 5 days for heavy users (and up to 26 days in battery saver mode). A full charge takes around 2 hours.
