Sony Xperia 5 IV receives FCC certification
The FCC has certified an upcoming Sony smartphone and it seems to be the Xperia 5 IV which has been rumored for a while. The device listing confirms a few key specs including the phone’s dimensions – it’s 155.74mm tall and 67.1mm wide.

Compact phone lovers will rejoice as that’s a tad shorter and narrower than last year’s Xperia 5 III which stood at 157mm and 68mm respectively. The screen diagonal on the Xperia 5 IV is listed at 153.5mm which is exactly 6.04-inches - a tad shorter than the Xperia 5 III"s 6.1-inch panel.

In addition, Xperia 5 IV will feature a USB-C connector for charging and data transfers as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. The listings also confirm NFC connectivity and wireless charging – something not seen on the previous three Xperia 5 models.

Past rumors suggest Xperia 5 IV will be powered by Qualcomm"s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. It"s expected to recycle the Xperia 5 III"s camera setup - meaning a 12 MP (IMX557) main sensor, a 12MP IMX663 telephoto module and a 12MP (IMX363) ultrawide snapper.
