Samsung Galaxy Alpha leaks, comes with a 4.7" display

Samsung Galaxy Alpha has recently joined our rumor mill via a small leaked photo. What we knew is the Alpha smartphone has metallic iPhone-like frame and plastic rear cover. The specs also differed from the constantly leaking Galaxy F - the Galaxy Alpha is expected to feature a 4.7" Super AMOLED display and be powered by the latest LTE-enabled Exynos chipset.

Today we can show you the Galaxy Alpha (SM-G850) leaking in full glory, even sized up next to a Galaxy S5. It is definitely smaller, has a similar faux-leather rear cover with dotted pattern, and keeps the heart-rate sensor next to the camera.

The source of the pictures confirms the 4.7" Super AMOLED display, LTE-enabled Exynos chipset, the finger-print scanner at the front and the heart-rate monitor at the back. It also claims the Galaxy Alpha to come with 32GB non-expandable internal storage and a nano-SIM slot.

So, the pictured Galaxy Alpha with those rumored specs seems like a preparation for the iPhone 6 launch this Fall. The metallic construction is certainly not a common feature for Samsung, but hopefully the Koreans begin adopting it within its next Galaxy models.

Note that the supposedly metal frame is different from the previously leaked picture we got of the Galaxy Alpha, and the device snapped above may turn out to be the Galaxy S5 Neo, which is rumored to launch soon.
