Redmi Turbo 4 Pro's massive battery confirmed by a new rumor

Redmi launched the Turbo 4 at the beginning of this month, and will have the Turbo 4 Pro join it at some point later this year. The Pro model was initially rumored to come with a 7,500 mAh battery, but then another rumor toned this down talking about "low 7,000s".

Today another rumor on the matter reiterates what the first one said and states that the 7,500 mAh battery capacity has been "confirmed" through prototype testing. Of course, this is far from an official confirmation, so do keep that in mind.

Interestingly, Redmi is now said to be testing an 8,000 mAh battery for use in a later device, most likely a member (or more) of the K90 series.

The Chinese smartphone makers seem to have all collectively shifted from chasing ever higher charging wattage numbers to now trying to fit ever larger batteries into their devices, and we're all for it. This, of course, is made possible by the new Silicon-Carbon technology which allows packing more density into the same footprint.

Hopefully once the battery capacity race slows down we'll get back to trying to improve charging times because we were at around or less than 20 minutes from zero to full not that long ago, and now it seems like 35-40 minutes has become the new minimum. Of course, Samsung doesn't know anything about any of this.
