Realme V15 5G announced: Dimensity 800U, 64MP triple camera, and 50W charging
Realme has launched its first phone of 2021 with the Realme V15 5G. The smartphone is built around a 6.4" FullHD+ AMOLED screen that comes with a 180Hz touch sampling rate and a peak brightness of 600 nits.
The AMOLED panel, made by Samsung, has a fingerprint reader embedded for biometric authentication, and there's also a hole in the upper-left corner for the 16MP selfie camera.
Around the back, the Realme V15 5G sports a 64MP primary camera joined by an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro modules. The smartphone comes with Super Night Mode for front and rear cameras, AI Beauty, Portrait Mode, Movie Mode, and UIS Max video recording.
Under the hood, the Realme V15 5G has a Dimensity 800U SoC and a copper tube for heat dissipation. The smartphone comes with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB storage onboard and boots Android 10-based Realme UI 1. But Realme has promised to release Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 soon.
Fueling the entire package is a 4,310 mAh battery, which charges through a USB-C port at up to 50W, but Realme ships the phone with a 65W power adapter. The V15 5G also comes bundled with a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter.
The rest of the highlights of the Realme V15 5G include dual-mode 5G (SA/NSA) and Dirac and Hi-Res Audio certifications.

The Realme V15 5G has three color options - Crescent Silver, Mirror Lake Blue, and Koi. The last one is three grams heavier and 0.2mm thicker than the other two versions and features a rear panel made of a double-texture double-plating process to reflect light at different angles.
Price starts at CNY1,499 ($230/â¬190) for the 6GB/128GB variant, and for CNY500 ($77/â¬60) more you get 2GB extra RAM.
The V15 5G will go on sale in China from January 14, and the first 100,000 customers will get a chance to win the Koi Blessing (machine translated from Chinese) lottery.
