Realme GT Neo 5 Lite version incoming, tipster reveals
Realme introduced the GT Neo 5 with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and the world’s fastest charging for a smartphone earlier this month. Reports from China suggest the company is working on a phone, probably called GT Neo 5 SE or GT Neo 5 Lite, which will have slightly downgraded specs.
According to the credible leakster Digital Chat Station, the phone will pack the still-unannounced Qualcomm SM7475 SoC, rumored to be a Snapdragon 7 Gen 2. It will also skip the 50MP camera with Sony IMX890 sensor and the RGB notification light on the back, which will enable a signficant price reduction.
The new GT Neo 5 variant will have a 64MP camera with an Omnivision OV64M sensor that is also yet to be announced. Design-wise, the camera island will also get rid of the transparent window, showing the Snapdragon chipset and will make room for basic setup.
Charging is the biggest selling point of the Realme GT Neo 5 duo (there is one with 240W and another with 150W). The upcoming version would have a 5,500 mAh battery with “just” 100W charging, which may be slow in the context of GT Neo 5 phones but is still among the fastest standards on the market.
