Realme Buds Air7 Pro arrive with a metal design, improved ANC and battery life

We reviewed the Realme Buds Air6 Pro last year and we found them to be great buds though a bit pricey. Today, the company has launched the new Air Pro model and they improve on key features while cutting back the price by CNY 20 – it’s not much, but these have great potential.

The Realme Buds Air7 Pro are available today in China on the company’s online store – you can pick them up for CNY 450. This converts to $62/£46/€54/₹5,250.
Realme Buds Air7 Pro: 6+11mm dual drivers • AI translation
As with previous models, the new buds have coaxial dual drivers (6mm + 11mm) for detailed treble and dynamic bass. They are Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified and support the LHDC 5.0 codec. Swift Pair and multi-point connectivity are supported.
The buds have a premium design that uses aviation-grade aluminum, a first for this price class. They are rated IP55 for dust and splash resistance and are available in four colors: Sand White, Silver Lime, Wind Green and Fire Red.

The new model boasts improved active noise cancellation (ANC) with up to 53dB noise reduction (up from 50dB). There are six microphones that work in tandem with AI-based noise cancellation for voice calls.

AI is also available for simultaneous interpretation and real-time conversation translation in 32 languages (this runs on the phone, obviously). The low-latency connection (45ms) helps for this use case and for gaming.
The new model also features improved battery life, lasting up to 48 hours between the buds and charging case (up from 40 hours on last year’s model). Note that this is with ANC disabled. With noise cancellation enabled, total play time is 26 hours (6.5 hours for just the buds) and if you also enable LHDC audio, then it is 20 hours (5 hours for just the buds). Fast charging is available and 10 minutes are enough for 11 hours of playback.

In case you missed it, the Realme GT7 was also announced today.
