Realme GT 5G Racing Yellow Leather Edition hands-on
The Realme GT 5G unveiled in March finally made its debut in India today with three color options - Dashing Blue, Dashing Silver, and Racing Yellow. The last one flaunts an exclusive Dual-Tone Leather Design, and we got a chance to spend some time with it, so here are our first impressions.
Let"s check out the retail box first, which is the same as the other two versions", meaning you get a 65W SuperDart charger, USB-C cable, a protective case, a SIM ejector tool, and the usual paperwork.
While the Dashing Blue and Dashing Silver variants feature glass backs, the Racing Yellow Leather Edition"s rear panel is covered with vegan leather, which can withstand the wear and tear conditions and is also treated to remain odorless.

The leather back is also fingerprint-resistant, unlike the other two color versions, and you can use it without snapping on the bundled protective case to avoid fingerprint smudges. Another benefit of having a leather back is that it offers a better grip.
Talking about the speedy yellow design, Realme says it represents the "dawn of the bright future at morning, which is a tribute to the young people who are moving at full speed," whereas the camera matrix that extends through the plastic stripe is a tribute to the bionic design of the tear-stained headlights.
While the vertical plastic stripe appears black from a distance, but from up close and at certain angles, you can notice a blue-colored V-shaped pattern underneath, which looks really cool.
And since the stripe covers the entirety of the the phone"s length, the Realme logo is now moved to the right side. It has a metallic effect and reflects light just like the company logo on the Realme 7 Pro SE Sun Kissed Leather Edition does.
The Realme GT 5G Racing Yellow Leather Edition feels good to hold and is a joy to use. It shares its internals with the Dashing Blue and Dashing Silver models, but it"s 0.7mm thicker and 0.5 grams heavier. That hardly makes any difference, though, since the smartphone"s form factor is still pretty compact, making it comfortable to hold even for extended periods.
The Racing Yellow variant comes in a single 12GB/256GB memory configuration in India, priced at INR41,999 ($565/€480). In Europe, it currently costs €529, and you"ll have to shell out €429 if you want to purchase the 8GB/128GB model.
