Oppo Find X8 Ultra to be thin with ultra-big battery

Oppo is already working on the Find X8 Ultra, revealed Zhou Yibao, product manager of the Find series. According to the executive, the new phone will be thinner than its predecessor but will bring a major improvement in the battery department with a new cell that will have 6,000 mAh capacity.

The manager revealed that the Find X8 Ultra will have an IP68-certified body against water and dust ingress with a glass back, likely with a matte finish. The body will be thinner than 9.5 mm (the thickness of Find X7 Ultra) and will also have a smaller camera bulge.

Speaking of the battery, this shouldn't come as a surprise. OnePlus, another smartphone brand by BBK Electronics, already revealed its next few flagships will have a lighter battery with greater capacity than the current Li-Ion cells; it is only logical that sister company Oppo will also make use of the Glacier Battery technology.

The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is likely to keep the quad-cam design with two periscope shooters on the back, while the front panel will be quad-curved OLED with a 120 Hz refresh rate and QHD+ resolution.
