Oppo Find X8, Find X8 Pro, Find X8 Ultra, Reno13, and Reno13 Pro battery capacities leak

Oppo is preparing the flagship Find X8 family, comprising of the vanilla X8, the X8 Pro, and the X8 Ultra, and today the battery capacities for all three have leaked in China alongside those for the upcoming Reno13 and Reno13 Pro. And it's all good news for longevity, we might add.

According to prolific leakster Digital Chat Station, the Find X8 will have a 5,600 mAh battery, the Find X8 Pro a 5,700 mAh one, and the Find X8 Ultra a 6,100-6,200 mAh battery. These will all be using dual-cell technology.

The Reno13 will have a 5,600 mAh battery and the Reno13 Pro a 5,900 mAh one, and these will be single-cell. All of these batteries are using the new silicon tech which is able to pack more capacity into the same space as the older tech.

In light of these numbers, Samsung's decision to stick with 5,000 mAh for the Galaxy S25 Ultra seems even more strange. If you're wondering why these increases seem to be coming across the board from Chinese smartphone makers, it's a perfect storm of two reasons combined: one is the availability of the new silicon tech, the other, for flagship devices, the rumored increase in consumption of the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC.

The Find X8 Ultra will use that chipset, and it's expected to launch in January. The other two members of the family will most likely arrive sooner - in October or November, both featuring MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 SoC. The Reno13 series could land in November as well.
