Oppo F19 Pro+ announced with Dimensity 800U chipset and 50W charging
The latest additions to Oppoâs F-series are here with the F19 Pro and F19 Pro+ 5G. The two are virtually identical apart from their chipsets and battery charging speeds. Alongside them, we see the global debut of the Oppo Band Style fitness tracker.
The F19 Pro duo comes with 6.43-inch AMOLED displays with FHD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. They have punch hole cutouts for the 16MP selfie shooter. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and features a fingerprint scanner tucked below the screen.
Around the back, we have OmniVision's OV48B 48MP sensor alongside an 8MP ultrawide snapper and two 2MP auxiliary modules for macro shots and depth data. The quad camera features plenty of Oppo enhancements including AI Highlight Portrait Video, Ultra Night Video and Dual View video which takes shots from both the front and rear cameras.
Sitting at the helm of the F10 Pro+ is MediaTekâs Dimensity 800U chipset paired with 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. The F19 Pro downcsales to a Helio P95 with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.
The battery comes out to 4,310 mAh on both units with speedy 50W Flash charging on the F19 Pro+ and more standard 30W on the regular Pro model. Both boot ColorOS 11.1 on top of Android 11.
The Oppo F19 Pro will go for INR 21,490 in the 8/128GB trim. Thereâs also an 8/256 GB model for INR 23,490. The F19 Pro+ 5G will retail for INR 25,990 in its 8/128GB trim and interestingly does not come in a 256GB version.
Pre-bookings for both F19 Pro models start tomorrow while first sales open on 17 March.
Oppo Band Style
Oppoâs Band Style was initially unveiled in China last June. It packs a 1.1-inch AMOLED display with 40 clock face options. The fitness tracker comes with a sleek metal ring that wraps around the band for a unique look. Buyers are treated to a second TPU sport band bundled with their device.
The Band Style does your standard activity tracking with 12 activity modes. Itâs also swim-proof with a 50-meter water resistance rating. Thereâs a heart rate tracker as well as SpO2 tracking which measures your oxygen saturation per second. The Band Style can also buzz your notifications, display weather information, control music playback. Sadly it does not come with NFC like the Chinese variant.
It is compatible with all Android 6.0+ devices at launch while a separate firmware update coming in April will bring iOS compatibility.
The Oppo Band Style goes for INR 2,999 and comes in black and vanilla colors. Early birds can snag it for INR 2,799 from today until March 23.
