Oppo A54 unveiled with a 5,000 mAh battery, Helio P35 chipset
The Oppo A54 smartphone has just been announced in Indonesia. It's an entry-level device with a big battery, a Mediatek chipset and a stylish design. There are three cameras on the back, although Oppo designed the island to appear as if it hosts four shooters.
The phone comes with a Helio P35 chipset, built on the 12nm process. It is paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage, and there is a microSD slot for up to 256GB more.
Oppo equipped the A54 with a basic 6.51â LCD with HD+ resolution and standard 60Hz refresh rate. There are no notches on the top - a single punch hole for the 16MP camera.
Around the back is a 13MP main camera and a couple of 2MP shooters for depth and macro.
The Oppo A54 runs on the dated ColorOS 7.2, based on Android 10. The phone also has IPX4 water resistance, meaning the phone is safe from splashed water like rain or sweat.
The battery inside is a 5,000 mAh cell with support for 18W fast charging through the USB-C port on the bottom. Some Oppo fans would be glad to learn there is a 3.5 mm audio jack as well.
This Oppo A54 (not to be confused with the Oppo A54 5G) comes in two colors - Crystal Black and Starry Blue. It will start selling at all major Indonesian offline and online retailers on Thursday, April 1. The price is IDR2,699,000 or about $185.
