Motorola Edge 40 starts receiving Android 14 update in India
Back in January Motorola shared a list of its devices that would be getting updates to Android 14, and, as you'd imagine, the Edge 40 launched last year was on that list. It has however taken this long for the update to start rolling out to the device in the Indian market. Better late than never, we guess.
Anyway, according to a report on X, the finalized stable update is now going out, in batches, to Edge 40 units in India. The update arrives over-the-air and requires a 1.49GB download, so make sure you're on a fast network when you grab it.
After you install the update, you'll be on build U1TL34.115-13, and the update includes the March 1, 2024 security patches too. As usual, it might take a few days (or weeks) until the update reaches all eligible devices.

And also do keep in mind that the Edge 50 Pro has just been announced for the Indian market, and since there doesn't seem to be a 'vanilla' Edge this year, that could very well be considered the Edge 40's successor.
