Latest update for the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G promises to fix the touchscreen issues

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G is now receiving the April security patch with the latest update (firmware version G781BXXU2CUD1). The changelog contains one more important bullet point – Samsung claims that it has improved the stability of the touch screen.

This could be the reason that the 5G model had to wait two more weeks than the S20 FE 4G to get the April patch. This isn’t the first time Samsung has tried to fix the issue though, the first attempt came in November of last year.

And it has had a few more tries since then – some users report that the One UI 3.1 update resolved the issue on their unit. That particular update started rolling out in February, but was halted due to an issue, which was never officially identified (the rollout quietly resumed soon after).

Anyway, some Galaxy S20 FE 4G units also experienced touch issues, but their April patch came alone. A new touch-focused update may arrive separately at a later date.
