iPhone 16 Pro renders show minor changes
The iPhone 16 series launch is a long way away but MacRumors has a series of render images based on prototypes of the iPhone 16 Pro (codenamed Diablo) and the iPhone 16 Pro Max (codenamed Lightning). Both devices seem identical to their predecessors with the major changes being the larger screen diagonals and the added capacitive Capture button on the right side below the power button.
iPhone 16 Pro is expected to carry a 6.27-inch screen diagonal. The preliminary dimensions of the device are 149.6 x 71.45 x 8.25mm and it is expected to weigh 194 grams. The 16 Pro Max will get a 6.85-inch screen and is expected to measure 163 x 77.58 x 8.25mm while weighing 225 grams. The 16 Pro series is also expected to get updated 48MP ultrawide cameras and the smaller 16 Pro will get the 5x tetraprism zoom lens.
The new Capture button is arguably the most interesting hardware aspect on both devices and is rumored to feature a force sensor and will be flush with the phoneâs frame. The new button is expected to be exclusive to the Pro model iPhones and will function as a shortcut for the camera app. Due to its placement, the Capture button will force Apple to move its US-exclusive mmWave antenna to the left side.
