Infinix Smart 8 brings 90Hz display and 5,000 mAh battery
The Infinix Smart 8 is now official, coming in as a successor to the Smart 7 which launched back in February. The new device is nearly identical to the Tecno Pop 8 which is no surprise since both Infinix and Tecno are under the umbrella of Transsion Holdings.
Smart 8 brings an IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The panel sports a punch hole cutout and a Dynamic Island-like overlay which brings status updates and charging info.
Infinix went with the Unisoc T606 chipset alongside 3GB RAM and 64GB storage which is expandable via the microSD card slot. The back houses a 13MP main cam (f/1.8) alongside e a VGA depth helper and LED flash.
The device boots Android 13 with Infinix XOS 13 on top and features a 5,000 mAh battery with 10W charging support.
Infinix Smart 8 comes in Timber Black, Galaxy White, Crystal Green and Shiny Gold colors. Retail pricing in Nigeria is set at NGN 82,000 ($105) and the device is already on open sale there.
