Infinix Hot 30i surfaces with faster chipset, more premium build than its predecessor
The next generation of Infinixâs entry-level Hot series is around the corner. One of the models, the Infinix Hot 30i, appeared on the Google Play Console, which promises a solid boost in performance.
The Hot 20i launched in late September 2022 with a Helio G25, which has eight Cortex-A53 cores. The 30i is set to use the Unisoc T606, a 12nm chip with 2x Cortex-A75 and 6x Cortex-A55 cores, plus a Mali-G57 MP1. Hardly speed demon, but the increase in performance should be tangible.
This model, the X669, was configured with 4GB of RAM and will run full Android 12. The 20i had two versions, one with full Android 12 and one with 12 Go Edition (some versions used the Helio A22 with a quad-core CPU).
Rumors suggest that the Hot 30i might have up to 8GB of physical RAM in some configurations, which will be paired with another 8GB of virtual RAM. Storage capacity will be 128GB. The old model had a microSD slot, this one might as well.
Additional rumored specs include a 50MP main camera on the back (up from just 13MP on the 20i), a 6,000mAh battery (up from 5,000mAh) and a fingerprint reader (moved from the back to the side). The display will remain at HD+ resolution, however, 720 x 1,612px, specifically.
If you get the feeling that the Infinix Hot 30i is moving in a premium direction, itâs not just your imagination â the phone will reportedly have a premium âglass-likeâ finish on the Blue, Black and White colorways and a âMarigoldâ (orange) version with a leather-like texture.
Besides the 30i, there should be a Hot 30 and Hot Play models too. The new series is expected to launch in India on March 27.
