Huawei TalkBand B5 debuts as a smartband/Bluetooth headset hybrid
Huawei is going strong with device announcements today - after the Nova 3 was outed, the company also listed the smartwatch TalkBand B5. Much like its predecessors, the B5 turns into a Bluetooth headset when you remove it from the strap. It has a 1.13” AMOLED screen and 2.5D curved glass and comes with built-in heart rate sensor.

The TalkBand B5 comes with 512 KB RAM and 16 MB Flash memory mostly for storing the pre-installed apps since it does not support sideloading of other applications. Battery capacity is 108 mAh, and Huawei says it can go three days without charging.
The TalkBand B5 is IP57 dustproof and waterproof, meaning it won’t be your best friend when you go swimming, but will endure sweat and occasional rain. It is compatible with all smartphones that have Android 4.4 and above and can even work with iPhones with iOS 9+.

There are features like TruSleep that monitors sleep and offers personal recommendations, TruRelax that analyzes heart rate and TruSeen that follows what’s going on with your pulse for 24 hours and recognizes different activities. There is also a quick selfie cam toggle and phone location finder, but some of the features might work only with EMUI-based devices, so only Huawei phones.
Huawei offers TalkBand B5 with three different types of straps in five colors. The device is up for pre-order until July 19, and on July 20 it will be available for purchase, although the price is not announced yet.
