Huawei improved the connectivity in the Freebuds 6, and these buds offer 2.3 Mbps bandwidth. The semi-open buds and audio optimization were designed after extensive research involving over 10,000 people who provided unique feedback.

The Freebuds 6 would ideally connect through the Huawei AI Life app, which provides EQ options, including two modes specifically tuned for these buds. The app also supports Head Tracking Spatial Audio, but it works only with select Huawei phones and the native Huawei Music app.

The waterdrop-shaped stem of the bud is 12% smaller, and the earbud itself is 9% lighter than the predecessor. Each bud has a 39.5 mAh battery, with the case bringing a 510 mAh cell.

That gives you 5.5h of listening to music on a single charge, and 36 hours in total with the charging case. This is without noise cancellation; with it, the battery life drops by about 20-25%.

Speaking of noise cancellation, Huawei implemented generative AI for multi-channel noise reduction. It offers precise identification of unwanted noises (in an environment with up to 95 dB or 8m/s wind speed) and provides clear calls in noisy situations, such as parties with loud music, sports activities with plenty of people around, and construction work.

Huawei launches the Freebuds 6 in China with the company"s native AI agent, Xiaoyi. It offers features like setting alarms, playing music, live translation, and navigation.
