Huawei P50 Pocket revealed in live photos for Harper’s Bazaar
The Huawei P50 Pocket will be unveiled on December 23, and the company already confirmed it will be a clamshell foldable; we even got to see a glimpse of the fancy design on the back. Today Harperâs Bazaar, the world-renowned fashion magazine, posted on Weibo photos of the phone from multiple angles, held by Guan Xiaotong, a Chinese actress and singer.
The images confirm the dual-circle design where the first ring hosts three cameras and a single LED, while the second is actually a small screen for AOD, notifications and selfies.
The Huawei P50 Pocket will clearly be a device for the fashionistas and an attempt to snatch some of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3âs market share. The phoneâs selling point will be its form factor, meaning specs like the chipset and the HarmonyOS 2.0 will be less of an importance for its potential buyers.
Speaking of specifications and features, we still donât know anything, but we do suspect a Snapdragon 888 chipset with no 5G modem. The trio of cameras is likely to be a main + ultra-wide + portrait combo, with no fancy sensors behind. The foldable screen on the inside is probably a BOE panel, but we wouldnât be surprised to see Samsung bring an OLED to the table if the phone makes it overseas.
