Huawei is no stranger to the foldable market and its latest device is the nova Flip which takes the compact flip fold approach. This is the first foldable entry in the nova lineup and is also positioned with a fashion-forward approach in several bold colors.

While primarily advertised as a fashion accessory, nova Flip features impressive hardware including a waterdrop hinge mechanism which passed rigorous testing from SGS Switzerland and is rated at 1.2 million bends. The device measures just 6.88mm in its unfolded state and weighs 195 grams.

There’s a square 2.14-inch OLED cover display that sits right next to the dual cameras while the inside houses a 6.94-inch LTPO OLED with FHD+ resolution and a 1-120Hz refresh rate. The cover display doubles as a viewfinder for the main cam and can also run some first-party apps like weather, music and calendar.

The cameras include a 50MP main cam with a 1/1.56-inch RYYB sensor and F/1.9 aperture, alongside an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 32MP front-facing camera.

The software side is covered by HarmonyOS 4.2 which brings several AI tricks including subject removal tool, text selection from images, and image generation. Nova Flip is also equipped with a 4,400mAh battery with 66W wired charging.
