HTC One scores "several hundred thousand" preorders in the US
HTC One is getting a very warm reception in the US, as it has already scored several hundred thousand preorders from customers eager to get their hands on it.
The milestone was confirmed by Jason Mackenzie, HTC's president of global sales and marketing, who said the customers' initial response to the phone has been "fantastic." He also added that HTC needs nearly 4 hours (220 minutes to be exact) to manufacture every single One smartphone.
Here's what Mackenzie noted.
We are seeing our strongest initial response for any smartphone we've ever designed with several hundred thousand people in the U.S. pre-registering to purchase the new HTC One.
Moreover, he served his apologies for the delays in production of the One due to the Ultrapixel camera. The company is working hard on the matter and is already arranging delivery dates with retail stores and carrier partners in the US.
"We apologize for this delay and are confident that you will find that the new HTC One will be well worth the wait," added Mackenzie.
