Honor Magic7 teased in gold, confirmed to use AI defocus eye protection screen

Honor is unveiling the Magic7 flagship series on October 30, and the brand keeps on teasing the devices. We now have a new video teaser for the vanilla Magic7 model, which is seen here in Chaoha Gold, presented by Chinese actress and singer Zhu Zhu, who has become Honor's newly appointed Art Aesthetic Ambassador.

Honor says this colorway captures "the beauty of the morning light". The brand has also released the following promo shots featuring the hue.

Additionally, the Magic7 series devices are now confirmed to use the AI Defocus Eye Protection technology that the brand unveiled back in June.

This works by simulating defocus glasses on the display, thus inducing controlled defocus in your peripheral visual field in order to maintain clear central vision. Honor claims the tech decreased users' transient Myopia by 13° on average after reading for 25 minutes, with some users even experiencing a maximum reduction of 75°.

And this will be a part of the Magic7 and Magic7 Pro from day one. Furthermore, their screens will have 4,320 Hz PWM dimming, and hardware-level low blue light. Additionally, screen brightness, color temperature, and contrast will be AI-adjusted in real time, based on the context of what you're doing and your habits.
