Exclusive: Meizu's first international phones are here
Earlier this year, Meizu announced it was going all in on AI and that would transform its smartphone ambitions. Well, the Chinese smartphone maker has now announced its latest smartphones with the Note 21 and Note 21 Pro. Both phones are going international this time and will be joined by the Meizu 21 which was announced in China earlier this year
Meizu Note 21 features a 6.74-inch IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate and an 8MP front-facing camera. Note 21 Pro gets a slightly larger 6.78-inch IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 13MP selfie shooter.
Around the back Note 21 features a 50MP main cam and a 2MP depth of field sensor while Note 21 Pro packs a 64MP primary shooter and a 2MP depth helper.
Note 21 features an unspecified eight-core chipset with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage while the Note 20 Pro gets a Helio G99 chipset and the same RAM and storage. Both phones support storage expansion via their microSD card slot.
Despite Meizuâs focus on AI, there are no specific AI features mentioned on the official specs page for either of the new phones. We also donât get any details on the software front but we presume both are equipped with Meizuâs FlymeOS.
Meizu Note 21 holds the lead in terms of battery capacity with its 6,000 mAh cell and 18W charging. Note 21 Pro gets a smaller 4,950mAh battery and 30W charging.
Note 21 will be available in Gulf Blue, Diamond Black, and Ivory colors while Note 21 Pro is coming in Bay Blue, Sandstone, and Marble colors. Meizu did not reveal pricing and availability details just yet but promised to update us with more details soon.
Meizu Note 21, Meizu 21 and Meizu Note 21 Pro will be available in select markets across Asia-Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East, and CIS regions.
