Even more official images leak showing Sony's Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI
Mere hours ago a barrage of official-looking images leaked depicting the upcoming Sony Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI, both models which could become official at the company's event on May 17.
And now here we are with even more leaked images of the two phones, and these look pretty official as well. Sony's not doing a great job of taming these leaks, but we're happy we get to see the unannounced devices in so much detail.
This time we have a better look at the Xperia 10 VI in all three colors. As we already mentioned earlier, the Xperia 10 VI has lost its predecessor's telephoto zoom camera, and has to make do with only the main shooter and an ultrawide. That feels like a step backwards, but perhaps the main camera can deliver lossless 2x zoom to compensate, we'll have to wait and see.
Both devices will have a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and of course there should be a pretty huge price delta between them, with the Xperia 1 VI being Sony's premium flagship device for this year. Thus, it should be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, and it will come with a triple rear camera system that includes a periscope telephoto.
It should get 12/16GB of RAM, whereas the Xperia 10 VI has been rumored to get 6/8GB, in an effort to make it cheaper. The 10 VI has a fresher design than the 1 VI which mostly goes the tried and tested route previously embarked upon by its predecessor. The Xperia 1 VI will have a 5,000 mAh battery, 120 Hz screen refresh rate, and 240 Hz touch sampling rate.
The Xperia 1 VI's less tall and slightly wider screen aspect ratio (now 19.5:9) is in full display, as are the much thinner bezels compared to the Xperia 10 VI.
Not a lot of details are currently known about the 10 VI, but if it is getting official in around a couple of weeks, then we expect to hear much more about it soon.
