Could this actually be an iPhone 16 pictured in the wild?
Apple is notoriously secretive about its unannounced devices and affairs in general. iPhone leaks, in particular, are very rare. We often rely on second-hand or related industry and supplier information to get some hints. Like when we learned just recently that the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro display production is expected to be on schedule in June, hinting that the new iPhone 16 models will stick to tradition and come out in September.
This year, however, there might be some cracks in Apple’s security since we did already see a fairly believable dummy iPhone 16 Pro Max unit in the wild, showcasing that the Pro Max is expected to grow in size.
In a new development, another singular photo of a mysterious iPhone was posted online. This one looks very intriguing. Since it only has two cameras and going by its size, we are inclined to believe that it is a regular iPhone 16. If this does turn out to be a real photo, it is likely another dummy unit. But that doesn’t matter much in the grand scheme of things.
It is interesting to see Apple potentially going back to a vertical camera arrangement on the back. The last time that was a thing was the iPhone 12. However, we can clearly see that the camera islands are not a perfect match, so we are looking at an unannounced design.
Unfortunately, that exhausts the available info surrounding the photo.
