Apple iPhone 16 prototype renders leak
The iPhone 16 series is a long way away at this point but a new article from MacRumors brings some key details regarding the vanilla iPhone 16 design. Apple is said to be experimenting with the back design and button placement on its upcoming baseline iPhone known internally as “DeLorean” and we now have a trio of pre-production design renders highlighting the possible new changes. The first design features an iPhone X-inspired camera setup with a vertical pill housing dual camera lenses.
The iPhone 16 prototype rendered in yellow also features a unified volume rocker button instead of the separate volume up and down buttons seen on every iPhone since 2010. All three devices also feature capacitive Action Buttons above the volume controls with the black model housing a visually larger button. The other two renders shown in pink and black switch out the camera design to a more familiar look with each lens housed inside a metal ring.
The black model also features a capacitive Capture Button located below the power button. Based on a previous rumor the new button is known as "Project Nova” inside Apple HQ and will offer force touch feedback while serving as a shutter button for the camera. The Action Button is expected to arrive across the entire iPhone 16 series.
