AMOLED screen-packing Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 leaks
We've heard rumors about this one before, but this time we get to see the real deal. The latest tablet by Samsung and its first in a while to pack an AMOLED screen has been caught in the wild by our old friend Mr Spycam.
The slate's front panel design stays close to the already available Galaxy Tab Pro and Galaxy Note tablets with the hardware home button and the capacitive task switcher and back keys staying put. There's also a secondary camera to be spotted on top, sitting alongside the ambient light sensor.
The back of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 takes after the Galaxy S5 smartphone flagship, employing the perforated leather look. Previous Samsung slates kept close to the Galaxy Note 3 with plain leather mimicking backs.
The specs of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 have been confirmed once more too. It's 10.5" screen will have a resolution of 2560Ãâ1600 pixels, while an Exynos 5420 chipset with octa-core CPU will make sure everything stays fluid. The Android version in charge is the latest available Android 4.4 KitKat, as befits a new flagship.
The primary camera on the slate will have an 8-megapixel sensor, while the front-facer will be a 2.1-megapixel unit. Connectivity options are as wide as they come - Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS/GLONASS, and LTE join the IR blaster.
There's still no information as of when the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will go official, but it can't be too far away now. Do you feel like getting an AMOLED tablet from Samsung or do you think the current IPS LCD crop offered by the company is more to your liking.
