AI-infused iOS 18 to be
Earlier today Apple announced the date of its next big keynote. On June 10, the company"s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) kicks off, and it"s expected to do so with the unveiling of iOS 18, the release of which should follow in the fall.
A new report from Bloomberg"s Mark Gurman, a connoisseur of all things Apple, claims iOS 18 will be "the most ambitions overhaul of the iPhone"s software in its history", according to "people working on the upgrade". Those are huge words indeed, let"s see if it can actually deliver.
As previously rumored, Apple will talk about AI at WWDC - a lot, it seems, if we go by what "people familiar with the matter" think. The AI strategy will be "front and center" for iOS 18, Gurman says. It"s not just him - Apple"s SVP of Marketing Greg Joswiak tweeted about the upcoming conference, saying it will be "Absolutely Incredible!", needlessly capitalizing both words to spell out "AI".

Apple"s AI strategy will encompass "a slew of new proactive features to assist users in their daily lives", according to Gurman. However, Apple isn"t going to announce its own chatbot. Instead, it"s talking to Google and OpenAI to get them to supply it with generative AI services.
