Huawei Mate Xs 2 goes global, starting at €1999

Huawei capped off a big event earlier today where it brought over its latest foldable smartphone - the Mate Xs 2 as well as several smartwatches and fitness trackers. Mate Xs 2 was the star of the show and is set to arrive to European markets in June for €1,999 in white, black and violet colors. The device was previously launched in China back in April.

The latest outward foldable from Huawei packs a 7.8-inch OLED with a 2480 x 2200px resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. When folded up the panel shrinks to a more one-hand friendly 6.5-inches.

Despite the large size Mate Xs 2 weighs in at 255 grams - notably less than its predecessor - Mate Xs (300g) and Huawei’s Mate X2 (295g). The new Mate Xs 2 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 4G chipset and comes in a single 8GB RAM and 512GB storage trim.

There’s a 50MP main cam around the back joined by a 13MP ultrawide snapper and an 8MP telephoto module with 3x optical zoom. The software front is covered by EMUI 12 while the battery capacity comes in at 4,600mAh and supports 66W fast charging.
