The vivo Y53 was released in March 2017, and today the company just launched the Y53s 5G on the Chinese market. We"re a bit baffled by the naming choice here, this definitely can"t in any way be a straight-up successor of a phone from four years ago, so then why not use some other numbers?

Alas, it is what it is. Oh, just what is it, you ask? Most likely, a direct successor to the Y52s from last year in fact.
