Ultrahuman Ring Air gains FDA-approved AFib detection
Smart rings have been around for several years now and have continued to add more health and activity-tracking features in a bid to challenge smartwatches. While a handful of premium smartwatches offer atrial fibrillation (AFib), Ultrahuman’s Ring Air is now the first smart ring on the market to offer FDA-approved AFib detection.
Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) tracks irregular heart rhythm (aka arrhythmia) which can be an early sign of heart-related health complications. Ultrahuman’s AFib tracking feature is part of its new PowerPlugs app service.
These include a broad range of health tracking options ranging from circadian rhythm and menstrual cycle tracking to jet lag and caffeine window. Ultrahuman also promises to expand the ranks of its service to include thousands of apps in the coming years.
Ultrahuman Ring Air is a great low-profile health tracker with the ability to track key components like heart rate and blood oxygen saturation as well as sleep, stress and workouts. You can read more about it in our Ultrahuman Ring Air review.
