Two Oppo Reno13 F models announced, one 4G (Helio G100) and one 5G (Snapdragon 6 Gen 1)

Days after the Reno13 and Reno13 Pro launched in India, Oppo is introducing two new models in the series – one 5G phone, one 4G, both marked with the letter F. They are nearly the same device, except for the different chipsets inside them.
Oppo Reno13 F • Oppo Reno13 F 5G
The Oppo Reno13 F 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, while its 4G sibling uses the Helio G100. Both are paired with LPDDR4X RAM (2,133MHz), 8/12GB in the case of the 5G phone, just 8GB for the 4G one. There is a more pronounced difference in storage, the 5G uses faster UFS 3.1 (128/256/512GB), while its sibling gets the older UFS 2.2 (256/512GB). In both cases, there is a microSD slot if you need more room.

The displays are the same, 6.67” OLED panels with 1080p+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. They have 100% coverage of the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces and can reach 1,200 nits in high brightness mode. Both are protected by Dragontrail Star 2 glass.

Speaking of protection, the Reno13 F duo is rated IP6X (dust-tight) and IPX6, IPX8 and IPX9 – the latter two mean that it can survive 2m underwater for half an hour and hot water jets at 80°C. Additionally, the interior has been designed to cushion impacts when the phone is dropped.

The phones are equipped with triple cameras on the back. This includes a 50MP main (f/1.8 lens with OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide (112°) and a 2MP macro cam. On the front is a 32MP selfie camera (f/2.4, 82°). The more powerful chipset of the 5G model enables 4K @ 30fps recording with the rear camera, while the 4G Oppo Reno13 F only does 1080p.

Both phones run on large 5,800mAh batteries, which should last over 14 hours of light gaming and will keep 80% (at least) of their capacity after 4 years. They support 45W SuperVOOC Flash Charge, which takes them from 1% to 44% charge in 30 minutes.

The F phones will be available in Plume Purple, Graphite Gray, Skyline Blue and Luminous Blue.
The Oppo Reno13 F and Reno13 F 5G will launch in the Asia-Pacific region first, exact dates and prices will be revealed soon. This will be followed by a wider rollout (again, details TBA).
