Samsung is now pushing One UI 5.0 to Galaxy Tab S8 tablet family

Flagship tablets from the Galaxy Tab S8 series are now receiving a stable One UI 5.0. First in line are the 5G-enabled units in Europe, with the update bringing Android 13, and the November 2022 security patch with nearly 50 privacy and vulnerability fixes.

The vanilla Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is receiving firmware version X706BXXU2BVK4, the Galaxy Tab S8+ is getting X806BXXU2BVK4, while the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is X906BXXU2BVK4.
Major improvements include a revamped user interface and more colors for the Color Palette feature which is Samsung’s take on Material You design. The company added OCR (Optical Character Recognition) which is a feature that extracts text from images.

One particularly cool feature is Modes & Routines, now named Bixby Routines, allowing you to set different routines and actions for different accounts and entries. The One UI 5.0 also brings new emojis of all types - animated, AR, as well as light-blue and pink hearts that come with the Emoji 15.0 update from The Unicode Consortium.
