Samsung is doing $50 screen repairs for a limited time in the US
Owners of Samsung Galaxy smartphones within the US’ 50 states and Washington D.C. may be eligible to get a cracked display fixed for a discounted fee of $50. This discounted rate is in effect from now through June 27 but there are certainly some limitations to keep in mind.
Source: Samsung USFirst of all, the selection of Samsung smartphones eligible for these repairs includes: Samsung Galaxy S smartphones S9 or newer, any Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone Note9 or newer, or any Samsung Galaxy A smartphone. Note that Galaxy S20 FE and S21 FE are excluded from the promotion. This also means that none of Samsung’s foldable smartphones are eligible for a $50 screen replacement.
Here"s where the limitation begins making sense: you cannot walk-in for this repair, you need to mail in your device to Samsung’s repair center directly as other repair partners like Best Buy and UBreakIFix aren’t eligible for the discount – so you need to be okay with being without this device for at least a few business days.
Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra, S21 Ultra, and S20 UltraCustomers must have a Samsung Account, only one repair is allowed per customer, and the repair will solely cover a damaged display and display glass and will not address any damage to the buttons, ports, cameras, boards, frame, or back panel glass. Finally, “the area around the display meeting the frame bezel must be free of dents or deep scratches around the edge of the device and the frame must not be bent.”
Samsung’s terms for this promotion also mention that the discount “may be terminated without notice” and will be available “while supplies last”. Now that you know about the limitation, head to the link below to begin your screen repair.
