Samsung Galaxy M21 Prime Edition will actually be called M21 2021 Edition
A couple of weeks ago a “Samsung Galaxy M21 Prime Edition” surfaced on the Samsung India website, but it appears that the company has had a change of heart when it comes to the naming. Or the phone will be sold under another name in other regions.
We say this because the same model number, SM-M215G, appeared on the Google Play Console as the “Galaxy M21 2021 Edition”. Unfortunately, for now it only appears on the supported devices list, which doesn’t list any specs.
The original Galaxy M21 was revealed over a year ago as a more affordable version of the M31 with the same 6.4” Super AMOLED display (1080p+), same Exynos 9611, downgraded 48+8+5 MP rear camera and same 6,000 mAh battery capacity (15W charging).
The M31 received a Prime version later on in the year, which was nearly identical to the original model. Back to the M215G model, renaming it to Galaxy M21 2021 Edition does offer some hope that it will bring more upgrades than a new coat of paint.

And don’t forget that there is a Galaxy M22 on the way with a 6.4” Super AMOLED display, Helio G80 chipset, 48 MP main camera and 6,000 mAh battery, which will allegedly cost €230 in Europe. Also, the Galaxy M21s exists, which is an M21 with M31’s cameras (making it very nearly the same phone).
