Xiaomi Watch Color 2 unveiled with third-party app, new TWS buds with spatial audio also launch
The original Mi Watch had a long and productive life, now its time has come to be replaced – alongside the Civi announcement, Xiaomi also unveiled the Xiaomi Watch Color 2. There is a new TWS headset with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) too, but let’s look at the watch first.
The watch features a new display, a 1.43” AMOLED, which keeps the 326 ppi pixel density (the original watch had a 1.39” AMOLED). The metal bezel around the display is available in three colors, which can be combined with over 200 watch faces and 6 strap colors (black, blue, white, green, yellow, orange).
Xiaomi Watch Color 2: dual band GPS tracking • 24/7 heart rate and SpO2 tracking • third-party apps
The watch still runs a proprietary OS, but it supports third-party apps – in China this is Baidu Maps, Migu Run and others. It’s still not Wear OS, but it does the usual smartwatch stuff like showing notifications from your phone and it can even handle calls over Bluetooth.
The Watch Color 2 is water resistant up to 5 ATM, meaning you can take it swimming. It supports 117 sports tracking modes, 19 of which are labeled “professional”. Outdoors tracking is done over dual-band GPS.
The watch has a slightly larger 470 mAh battery (up from 420 mAh), which is enough for 30 hours of continuous GPS tracking. For regular use, the battery will last 12 days, which can be extended to 24 days with extended mode turned on.
The battery life includes 24-hour heart rate tracking, blood-oxygen (SpO2) measurements and sleep tracking. There are also women’s health features on board as well.
The Xiaomi Watch Color 2 is on pre-order in China right now at a price of CNY 900 (an early bird deal). Sales will start on the 30th (Thursday) at a regular price of CNY 1,000 ($155/€132/₹11,500).
Also new today are the Xiaomi True Wireless Earphones 3 Pro. They feature advanced noise cancellation that reduces unwanted noise by up to 40 dB. You can still hear your surroundings with transparency mode, of course.
Interestingly, this new model features head tracking for spatial audio support. The buds support multi-point connectivity and are the first to feature the latest version of the high-quality LHDC 4.0 audio codec.

The buds and their carrying case can last up to 27 hours of music playback in total (the case can be charged wirelessly and with a cable). They are IP55 rated for water and sweat resistance.
Like the watch, the Xiaomi TWS Earphones 3 Pro are on pre-order in China, sales will start on the 30th. The buds will cost you CNY 700 ($110/€93/₹8,000). You can have them Black, White or Green.
